
Winter Fun in Fishers
When winter hits, it can be far too tempting to curl up in a cozy blanket inside and hibernate until its all over. But if you live in Fishers apartments like Nickel Plate Station, then there are actually plenty of reasons to get outside and do things! There are festivals, parks, and more waiting for you, and here are a few to check out this winter!
Fishers Winter Wonderland
Make your way to downtown Fishers for the main winter event, the Fishers Winter Wonderland The Nickel Plate Trail will be lit up by festive light displays and full of other holiday-themed fun The lights will span from downtown all the way to Fishers Parks HQ. The official event takes place from 4 to 7 PM.
Winter Wonderland of Art
If you're feeling a little chilly at the Fishers Winter Wonderland, spend some time inside the Art Gallery at Fishers City Hall from 3 to 8 PM. You can admire the art on display or even buy some art pieces to take home, all made by local artists and artisans. And in case you want to unleash your own inner artist, there are two make-and-take art classes available for a small fee, one foralcohol ink and the other for weaving.
A Merry Prairie Holiday
This is a beloved annual festival at Conner Prairie that is ongoing, so you'll have multiple opportunities to discover all it has to offer. It takes place Fridays through Sundays, November 25th to December 18th with two bonus days on December 21st and 22nd. This festival is full to the brim with holiday fun, including a massive Tubing Hill, meet and greet time with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, holiday light displays, a 3D projection mapping holiday show, skating, visiting historic Prairietown to see old-fashioned holiday traditions, and more!

Take a stroll on a short trail and enjoy a kids book as you go! This self-guided mini-hike includes ‘a book chosen by Hamilton East Public Library for each month. The month of November features "Bear Says Thanks” at Cyntheanne Park, and December's book is “When the Snow Is Deeper Than My Boots Are Tall” at Holland Park.
Marbling Ornament and Custom Card Workshops
For $25, you can join Sewful Cheryl's Gift Making Series and create your own marbled ornaments and cards. There are three workshop times on the evening of December Sth, from 5-6, 6-7, and 7-8 PM at Maker Playground. Registration includes 4 omaments and 4 5x7” cards, all materials included. One of the best parts? All ages are welcomel Of course, any small children must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
Holiday Wreath Workshop
For $30, you can experience a two-hour workshop and create your own holiday wreath! Join other makers on December 12th from 6 to 8 PM at the Fishers AgriPark. You'll get to use bundles of spruce, fir, and pine to make the perfect wreath to adorn your door, mantel, or another special place in your home.
